Loan pipes

The Bagpipe Society has several sets of student pipes and Scottish Small pipes available for loan to individuals wishing to try their hand at piping or who are waiting for a set of pipes of their own to be made.

The policy for the loan of these pipes is as follows :

1. Anyone wishing to loan a set of pipes must be a member of the Bagpipe Society for the duration of the loan period.

2. The person to whom the pipes are loaned must live in the United Kingdom.

3. The person to whom the pipes are loaned must pay a £150 deposit, via PayPal, to the Bagpipe Society. This will be refunded when the pipes are returned in the same condition in which they were loaned. Bagpipe availability must be confirmed with the Bagpipe Society before any payment is made.

4. The person to whom the pipes are loaned must pay a monthly rental, via PayPal, of £15 per month for each month the pipes are on loan. Bagpipe availability must be confirmed with the Bagpipe Society before any payment is made.

5. The person to whom the pipes are loaned is responsible for all postage costs incurred for the loan of the pipes.

6. The Pipes can be loaned for a maximum of three months. This can be extended by agreement of the Bagpipe Society.

7. The Bagpipe Society can request the return of any pipes on loan at any point during the loan period.
