Review: Duo de Cimes - Adieu Amors

Duo des Cimes is Naël Tripoli – boha, diatonic accordion, and Anaïs Perrinet – violin, vocals. I was introduced to Naël at Le Son Continu festival as an exceptional maker and player of the Boha (pipes from Gascony, France) by music journalist Philippe Krümm. Philippe was, as he often is, completely correct.

I was discovered the sound of the Boha on the albums by Perlinpinpin Folc in the 1980s and was reacquainted more recently through the playing of Robert Matta. In our house, his 2016 album “Boha” gets played a lot.
