In the Bag - Maya Love

Maya Love started her bagpipe career after joining the road protest movement in the early 90s where she met Andy Letcher. He encouraged her to get some pipes after hearing her playing French and Breton tunes on the recorder. A few years later, after having played for many hours around campfires and protest sites, she and Daygan Robinson created their Celtic Eastern folk fusion band, Dragonsfly. This band received acclaim as an uptempo festival band, also playing at many weddings, parties and art centres and they would visit the Luthiers festival of St. Chartier yearly for inspiration.
